CONCEPT & IDENTITY


Each episode of MEALS FOR A MOVEMENT creates a distinct acoustic environment through interplay of ASMR, poetry, & music to collectively foreground the voices of BIPOC women in instances of anger & fortitude as they manifest in everyday life & are metabolized as nourishment.

The concept of reclamation was central to my creative process in designing the illustrations & web page for this project. By infusing iconic symbols of resistance & meaningful allyship into a China pattern, the illustrations become a tribute to a reclaimed & renewed relationship with food, culture, & anger.
